About the Mission:

The family of Vietnam War Veteran Gordon P. Sabadasz has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Mr. Sabadasz passed 13 June at the age of 76 surrounded by his family.

After graduating from high school, Mr. Sabadasz entered the Marine Corps on 26 December 1968. He was trained as a Marine Combat Engineer (MOS-1371), serving his nation for 3 years 11 months, including a 9 month tour of duty in Vietnam. Mr. Sabadasz was honorably discharged as Corporal on 15 December1972 at Marine Barracks, Fort Mead, Maryland. For his service he was awarded; Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/4 Bronze Stars, Republic of Vietnam Meritorious Unit Citation w/palm and Frame and a Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 Device.

Members will stand a flag line for arriving family and friends. Military honors will be conducted at 8:00 pm. Thank you for standing for our veterans. Make sure to have water.
