Mission applies to the following Region(s):
Region 4, Region 5, Region 6
About the Mission:
The organizers of the annual National EMS Memorial Service's procession have requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in the memorial ceremonies scheduled in Copake, NY.
The purpose of the National EMS Memorial Service is to remember and honor those emergency medical services personnel who have died in the line of duty and to recognize the ultimate sacrifice each made for his fellow man. The National EMS Memorial Service’s annual procession began June 1 in Riverside, Calif. and will culminate in Arlington on July 19. The procession will make 29 stops in 19 states, including Copake, NY to remember 29 EMS professionals who died in the line of duty, including Stephen J. Walsh, whom we stood for in Hudson last November.
On Sunday, June 29th at 12:30 pm, Community Rescue Squad will host the Moving Honors procession at its Headquarters in Copake, NY. The event marks one of the many stops along the 6,500-mile journey to Arlington where fallen EMS providers will be honored as part of the National EMS Memorial Service and Weekend of Honor.
