About the Mission:
The family of Thomas J. Bacon has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors interment. Mr. Bacon passed 1 July 2025 surrounded by his family.
Mr. Bacon entered the Air Force on 12 February 1969 at US Intelligence School, Fort Holabird Maryland and trained as a Security Police Officer. Mr. Bacon was assigned to the 96th Security Police Squadron, Dyess Air Force Base where he was entrusted with protecting nuclear weapons. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Staff Sergeant on 1 November 1973, and was awarded; Air Force Good Conduct Medal and a National Defense Service Medal. After his service Mr. Bacon worked at Ford Stamping Plant in Buffalo N.Y retiring after 34 dedicated years.
