About the Mission:
The family of Eddie James Wilkins, Jr. has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors Memorial Service. Eddie, 82, of Leeds, NY passed away on Tuesday, 17 June 205.
Born in Tennille, Georgia, Eddie honorably served his country in the United States Air Force between 1962 and 1982, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. He served as a Food Service Supervisor (AFSC 62270) and his 20 years of service included 7 1/2 years of foreign duty, which included a tour of duty in Vietnam. He retired on 31 January 1982, and for his service, was awarded; Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Air Force Good Conduct Medal w/8 Oak Leaf Clusters, National Defense Service Medal, NCO Academy Graduate Ribbon w/4 Oak Leaf Clusters, Expert Marksman Ribbon, Air Force Longevity Service Ribbon w/4 Oak Leaf Clusters, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross w/Palm and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/ '60 Device,
Eddie later worked at, and retired from the New York State Department of Corrections, in Stormville, NY.

Staging at the funeral home with a flag line for the arrival of family and guests. There will be a one hour Visitation period from 11:00 - 12:00, followed by a Memorial Service with military honors. Interment to follow at a later date.
