About the Mission:
The family of Roy Walter LaDuke has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in the Visitation portion of his funeral services. Roy, 94, passed away June 24, 2025 surrounded by his family.
Roy was born April 27, 1931 in Black Brook, NY. He entered the United States Army during the Korean War on 7 March 1952, and served as a Heavy Vehicle Operator (MOS 1931). He completed 1 year and 9 months on active duty, including an 11 month tour of duty assigned to Headquarters, 325th Engineer Aviation Group, attached to the 5th Airborne, in South Korea. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Corporal (T) on 8 December 1953 and for his service, was awarded; National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal and a United Nations Service Medal.
After his military service, Roy worked as a heavy equipment operator at Pollard’s and LaDuke Brothers of Voorheesville.
Services will include Roy's wife of 71 years, Joan, who passed one week after him. Interment for both will take place at a later date.

Special Information:
Staging at the church with a flag line for the arrival of family and guests. Visitation will take place between 10:00 - 11:00 am, followed by Mass. This mission takes place during the Visitation period only. Those members that may have known Roy are welcome to remain for the church services. Interment will take place at a later date.
